EI members recognised in Honours
Congratulations are in order for several members of the EI who have been recognised for their dedicated work in energy in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
Two Fellows of the EI were recognised. Former Ørsted UK Chairman Brent Cheshire received a CBE for services to the renewable energy sector, while Chief Executive of Oil & Gas UK Deirdre Michie received an OBE for services to the oil and gas industry.
Associate Member of the EI, and last year’s EI Awards Energy Champion, Sonya Bedford was also recognised with an MBE for services to community energy.
