Company production getting gassier
Oil and gas production data for 2017 shows little overall change in oil output. Gas supply continued to expand. Oil company production had a reduced share of global production despite indications that US shale oil producers were starting to expand production. With two notable exceptions, all the largest oil companies recorded record gas output gains in 2017, writes Chris Skrebowski.
