EI Council Member awarded New Year's Honour
Trustee and Chair of the EI’s Energy Advisory Panel, Dr Joanne Wade FEI has been recognised for her services to energy efficiency by being awarded an OBE in the Queen’s New Year's Honour list.
Joanne said:
“I have advocated throughout my career for the benefits of energy efficiency and I am thrilled and humbled to have my efforts recognised in this way.”
Joanne, who is currently Chief Executive of the Association for the Conservation of Energy (ACE) will soon be taking on a new role as Deputy Director of the Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE) as part of the merger between ACE and ADE with Dr Tim Rotheray staying on as Director.
Head of the EI's Health Technical Committee, Professor Mike Tipton and Fellow of the EI, Adrian Bull were also recognised in the Queen's New Year's Honour list by receiving MBE's for services to Physiological Research in Extreme Environments and for services to the Development of Public Understanding in Nuclear Research.
