Ethiopia to exploit huge renewable energy potential

East Africa’s Ethiopia is not an obvious candidate for a country to lead the continent’s charge towards renewables. However, the country has ambitious plans to extend beyond existing hydroelectric plants to significant wind, solar and wasteto- energy schemes, as Matthew Newsome reports.
