Ministers questioned on improving air quality
The purpose of the session is to hold Ministers to account over the Government’s latest plans to reduce nitrogen dioxide. Stakeholders have criticised the 2017 plan as inadequate and for lacking sufficient cross-departmental collaboration.
The committees will be examining whether latest plans go far enough; whether there is sufficient Government support for both local authority and national air quality initiatives; and how Brexit will affect the delivery of air quality plans.
