Petroleum Review December 2015

Despite falling oil prices, both Australia and New Zealand remain bullish about their long-term exploration and production prospects, according to our annual regional report.

Meanwhile, with COP21 underway, we look at the processes, procedures and possible outcomes from the Paris meeting. This will be followed up by an overview of the final agreement and potential implications for the energy sector in the New Year.

Our technology review focuses on digital oilfield (DOF) developments that are helping to drive up productivity, optimise workflows and help reduce operational costs. We assess what is driving the latest initiatives and the impact of the current low price environment. This month’s magazine also features an interview with Vitol’s Christopher Bale, looking at global pricing issues; and our annual round-up of developments in the shipping sector.

As another year draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our contributors and readers for their continued support of Petroelum Review and our sister magazine Energy World. Wishing you all New Season’s Greetings and a Happy New Year.
